p1010163Well I’m back in the backyard again.  Today’s workout was supposed to be a three cycle H.I.T. training program, but ended up a bit different thanks to fatigue and the desire to toss my cookies that crept up on me during my second cycle.  But before I get carried away I might as well post the workout:

Cycle 1: 2 minutes activity/35 seconds rest

  1. Sledge Hammer Drills (2 minutes each side)
  2. Tire Press (basically the second part of the tire flip performed from a squatting position)
  3. Tire Drag
  4. Tire Flip
  5. There was supposed to be an exercise here involving balancing my slosh bar, but let’s just say my body wouldn’t cooperate and leave it at that… (more…)

All three provide good and useful services, but is any one of them clearly better than the other two?  The reviews are based on the features most of us would expect from a fitness tool/advice site.  For each category/feature I will rate Traineo, Gyminee, and Sparkpeople.  The format is simple, five categories (user-friendliness, groups, nutritional logging, exercise logging, and graphing capabilities) judged by placing each site into first, second, or third place.  First place is awarded 3 points, second place 2 points; third place 1 point.  At the end of this review the points are added up and the winner announced.  Pretty simple, right?  Good, well let’s start the reviews. Well there is lots of stuff to catch up on so maybe I should say something like, “Coming this Week”

First I have to “dance with the one that brung me” and get back to some good old fashioned weight loss blogging. I have gotten a bit off track and forgotten my Excel spread sheets for the last few days. Well, I plan on bringing them back. I am also putting together a new post on sex and exercise (related to the VERY popular sexercise post– now viewed over 4,200 times) that will come with an interesting challenge. (more…)
