Well it is that time of week again- Tuesday.  Usually a day known for only being one day better than Monday, but on longer.  Funny Acronym Tuesdays have turned everyone’s second least favorite day of the week (especially now that Hell’s Kitchen has finished for the season) into the happening place to be.  For those who haven’t played before, the rules are quite simple.  Each person who comments defines the acronym posted by the person who commented before them and then writes an acronym of their own for the next person to explain.  Feel free to make your acronyms dark, corny, odd, quirky or whatever. Just have fun!

What can you win?  A write up of your blog posted on here so you get some extra traffic and some bonus Technorati points- for all of you who are interested in that thing.  But there are also immediate benefits too, like a good laugh and some friendly banter.  Let’s see if we can break 1,001 hits in one day (last week’s record).

The first acronym is

E.U.T.H.A.N.A.S.I.A.  (more…)

The doctor called this morning.  You know it isn’t going to be a good call when they say, “We have some good news and some bad news for you.”  Of course she told me the goods news first, and of course all I could think of was, well what is the bad news??? (more…)

Today my wife and daughter got a chance to go visit Kane at the hospital- I am quite jealous.  Judging by the pictures all three of them had a lot of fun.

My wife got to meet Kane’s doctors- who are by the way totally awesome!  You couldn’t imagine kinder, more knowledgeable, nicer, more considerate and patient doctors than the three doctors (one is a professor and the other two are residents).

They were even nice enough to answer my question about whether life in a vet hospital is anything like Scrubs.  Their answer.  It is more like Scrubs than Grey’s Anatomy.

Well without further adieu, here are tow videos of Sasha and Kane playing around.  Well mostly it is her playing around and Kane tolerating her.

And this…

I know, I know, that is probably too much cuteness to handle at one time so take a second, take a deep breath and click the read more bottom… (more…)

THANK YOU ALL!  Because of your kindness and generosity we are half way to our goal of raising $1,000 to help with the costs of Kane’s $4,000 treatment and surgery.  If you want to help us make it all the way to our goal (and possibly beyond) just click here for more information on how to help out.  We appreciate all that you guys and gals have done.  It is amazing watching the blogging community come together for our boy Kane.

Also, it is only a few more days until Kane comes home. (more…)

We made our first trip to the hospital today.  We discussed the issue of our payment plan, received the unfortunate news that it appeared we might not be able to get any grants to cover the surgery (keep praying about this), and we paid off part of the bill.  [BTW: If you do want to help defray some of the costs of Kane’s surgery just click this sentence.]

On a more positive note we saw Kane for about an hour.  We walked outside with Kane and the doctors and learned how to help him pee by squeezing on his bladder- fun times.  We saw some improvement in him placing a small amount of weight on his hind legs- YEAH!

Then we went into a comfy visiting room where Sasha prayed for Kane and we hung out together for a while.  Here are some of the pictures and video from our visit.

How about the cutest thing first?  Here is a video of Sasha and Kane together- sorry for the no sound, our digital cam stinks.

Next, the surgery scars

I told him that he was lucky in a way since chicks dig scars. (more…)

If you need some inspiration for this week’s funny acronym Tuesday challenge, just click on this recent post to see the longest (and funniest) acronym ever.  Don’t forget that the reward for this week’s funny acronym challenge is a full post dedicated to directing traffic from this blog to yours.  So for you traffic hounds and Tecnnorati rank obsessed folks it’s like virtual gold.  Extra points for those who work in current events or use big fancy words.

Why don’t we start out simply enough.  OCD was the last to post last week, so we will begin with her acronym.

S.U.N.S.H.I.N.E.

Well I hope you enjoyed the week since our last F.A.T. challenge.  Hopefully you spent the time adding some funny nouns, verbs, and adjectives to your vocabulary that will make your acronyms witty, crisp and rapier sharp.  And if not, well heck, I am fine with sophomoric, juvenile, and down right foolish acronyms too.  And you regulars (you know who you are Tam, Mandy, Judi, Teresa, Blessed1, Lovewill…, ckr, OCD, Bwan, Praise365, AndrewE, Neil, Randy, and Epiphany) I am expecting to see you here.

So let’s get it off to a good start with a challenging acronym…

K.A.I.S.E.R.  (Yeah, I know, this one might be a tad bit egotistical, but for my sake just role with it)….
