Count Your Blessings Friday…

I promised Blessed1 I would join her contest to remain faithful to the blogging concept of Faithful Fridays.  What exactly is a Faithful Friday?  Here is an explanation from Blessed1 herself:

Every Friday COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS in a BIG way. From the small insignificant ones (although I am a believer of all blessings being big and significant) to the large in your face ones!

You will be amazed at how many things you see that are good in your life…it will change your outlook! – Blessed1

Things I am thankful for

Good health for myself and my family.  Not just recently, but over the last several years.  My daughter has only been sick several times in her three years walking (and often crawling) God’s creation.  And while I have had some health problems nothing were more than I could handle.  My wife on the other hand NEVER gets sick- or if she does she doesn’t show it.

A Roof, A House, and a Mortgage Paid on Time. I am thankful that our house still stands, that we have a roof over our heads, a small piece of land to call our own, and the ability to pay our mortgage.  Yeah, we’ve had to cut back thanks to rising gas prices, but it is nothing too severe.

Financial Aid is Actually on Track.  After attending various colleges (undergrad, law school, Masters program, Ph.D.) I can tell you for a fact that it is nothing less than a miracle when the wheels of the financial aid department run smoothly.  I called up yesterday and learned that they had made a mistake, similar to the one they made last year.  However, to clear up the problem last year I had to get my Congressman involved.  This year it just took a few key strokes and a friendly financial aid worker.

I Feel Healthier and More Energetic.  While the scale doesn’t look much better over the last two weeks, I can testify that my energy is up significantly and I feel better than I have in a long time.

Praise the Lord, from whom all blessings flow.

Hey the button code shouldn’t be doing that. It works on my blogger and wordpress sites. Which is this one? WordPress? Let me know and I’ll try to figure it out!

  5. It is the WordPress code that I can’t get to work.

Love the gratitude journal. I’m thankful that for the first time in I can’t even remember how long, I’m actually leaving on a 10-day vacation with NO WORK to do while I’m gone. Yes, I have some appointments scheduled, but I finished A-L-L my writing assignments ahead of schedule. They’ve already been sent, and invoices are ready to zap.

    WAHOO!!

I try to remember to count my blessings every day. With so much going on in the world that is evil, it’s necessary to remember the good. There is more good than evil, but we very rarely hear about it.

Great blessings. Working in financial aid myself (for a lender) I have to agree. It’s a MIRACLE that things ran smoothely and that you’re actually getting your money on time!
