The Air Car

It looks like someone has finally done it- invented a car that runs well on a clean fuel source. This new invention runs on, get this, compressed air [hence the name Air Car]. It is also affordable AND achieves reasonable speeds.

“It costs less than $3 USD to fill a tank on which it can run for 200 to 300km [124 to 186 miles]. The car will cost about USD $7,300 and has a top speed of 68mph. About once every 50,000 km you have to change the oil (1 liter of vegetable oil). Initial plans are to produce 3,000 cars per year.” [1]

Barbaric Behavior in Iraq.

Over in Iraq terrorists used (and subsequently butchered) two children in order to explode a car bomb at a U.S. checkpoint. To realize how disgusting these scum are- praying on our western values of kindness and mercy- see the following:

“The vehicle was stopped at the checkpoint but was allowed through when soldiers saw the children in the back…

“Children in the back seat lowered suspicion. We let it move through. They parked the vehicle, and the adults ran out and detonated it with the children in the back,” Barbero said…

After going through the checkpoint, the vehicle parked next to a market across the street from a school, said the official, who asked not to be identified.

“And the two adults were seen to get out of the vehicle, and run from the vehicle, and then followed by the detonation of the vehicle,” the official said.

“It killed the two children inside as well as three other civilians in the vicinity. So, a total of five killed, seven injured,” the official said.”

How contemptible and barbaric. Notice these two adults run- presumably foregoing the glories Allah has allegedly promised them as suicide bombers- leaving the two young children to die.

“But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew 18:6.

A Gay Old Time at Church?

It appears that Texas is home to the this Countries largest “gay church.”

“Hudson estimates that over 90 percent of the Cathedral’s 3,500 members are gay, lesbian or transgender.”

I have no problem with homosexual couples attending church- after all we don’t expel from church those who have sex before (or outside) of marriage, adulterers, and divorced believers. My problem stems from the fact that neither would we create a church for adulterers, unwed couples, etc. where we claim that such activity isn’t sinful and immoral. Yet, for some reason, our society has chosen to embrace this specific sin, and singled it out for unlimited acceptance.

The Church has taken one form of fornication and legitimized it- seemingly with the purpose of getting people in church who otherwise wouldn’t come. Is this a good policy? What other sinful behavior could we legitimize in order to make sinners more comfortable with the church and Jesus? I would answer that we have already done much to make divorced men and women and unwed couples feel as if their lifestyle (and choices) were acceptable (or at the least not condemned) by God.

Iranian President Declares War on Sparta (Satire)

“In what foreign policy experts believe to be a direct response to the hit American movie “300,” Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today declared war on Sparta. Even for the mercurial Ahmadinejad, the move struck many diplomatic insiders as extraordinary, since the consensus in the international community is that the city-state of Sparta no longer exists.” [2]

Brothers Gone Astray? Leading Pentecostals in Brazil Arrested in the U.S.

“Only a few months ago, Estevam and Sônia Hernandes were on television preaching a gospel of material success and living a life to match.

But that was before they were arrested in Miami in January and charged with illegally smuggling cash into the United States, including $9,000 concealed in a Bible.” [3]

It doesn’t take long to see from whence the problem originates- as their church preached a “theology of prosperity.” Prosperity churches have their eyes on money and material success more than God and Godliness. In addition, they make a mockery of the millions of Christians who suffer for Christ daily with not even a few coins in their pockets. God may bless you with wealth, but more often he blesses you with spiritual things so much greater than a big home and a nice car.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'” Matthew 7:21-23.

Medved has the Left Pegged

While the right wants to reward beneficial choices and discourage destructive directions, the left seeks to eliminate or reduce the impact of the disadvantages that result from bad decisions. In place of the conservative emphasis on accountability, the left proffers a gospel of indiscriminate compassion.” [4]

Satire Lost on Leftists

But that soothing thought was short-lived because I made a crucial mistake: I read the student newspaper published by the University of Rhode Island. According to the newspaper, the University of Rhode Island Student Senate denied the appeal of the College Republicans who had been punished for running a controversial “White Heterosexual American Male” scholarship advertisement. The ad was obviously satire because the scholarship has never actually been granted to anyone. In other words, like a gay unicorn, it does not really exist.”

I encourage you to read the articles written by my former undergraduate professor, Mike Adams. They are always funny, pointed, and well reasoned. They also often shock the heck out of you. He is a former atheist liberal turned fundamentalist Christian Conservative. Check out his archived articles here.

The Religious Left Seeks Greater Welfare Spending:

The chief bishops of President Bush’s United Methodist denomination naturally were ready to pounce on his proposed $2.9 trillion budget for 2008, in which the “most vulnerable populations in the United States and around the world are sacrificed at the altars of greed and war.” [5]

Christian charity extracted at the point of government power is neither Christian nor Charity.

Re: A Gay Old Time at Church?

I just taught on these issue last week. I dislike intensely the fact the some churches want to treat homosexuals like they have a ‘larger sin’ than others. I do, however, believe they vital ministering and prayer support. Take this example. Two sinners both repent and come to church. One is a liar. One comes from an abusive home and deprived childhood. Who are you going to consider for counseling first? The abused of course! (Though I personally believe 99.9% should receive counseling)
The fact is that we must love like God loves, and judge, as God would judge. Just as your prior post, with a balance of mercy and justice. God help us minister and impact this generation. This is our time to make a difference. God sees we can. That’s why we were chosen for times like these.
For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” – Esther 4:14

PS: You’ve stirred me up Bro! Lol…

  2. Angel says:

excellent post!..this is spot on:My problem stems from the fact that neither would we create a church for adulterers, unwed couples, etc. where we claim that such activity isn’t sinful and immoral.

  3. I liked your point about “legitimizing” a specific sin and how some of society has accepted this as an approved behavior. Since words have meanings, to make something legitimate is to make it “legal”. Why don’t we just go ahead and make all sins legal? Murder included. If we’re going to be tolerant of one sin, homosexuality, let’s be tolerant of theft and murder, too!? Wow, this is simple!

Ok, all sarcasm aside…God has not defined sin because He’s a big meanie. God does not want us to sin because sin hurts us and hurts others. Making sin legal on Earth does not change God’s word.

  4. Thanks for the comments. The issue is hard to speak to since it has become so political and emotional. I would like to see us walk a path that includes both mercy and conviction of sin.

  5. Amen to that. As a card-carrying sinner myself, I need all of the mercy I can get!

  6. Bruce says:

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. You certainly have an intersting one. Pray for success with your total transformation.

  7. damewigginsoflee says:

    Your intolerance is showingggg.

    tsk tsk.

  8. I don’t attempt to exercise tolerance according to worldly standards (i.e. acceptance of all behaviors). Being tolerant does not require that I accept my neighbor’s lifestyle as moral- only that I treat him civilly despite our differences.
I believe in true tolerance, the kind that allows us to live next door to each other civilly and politely.

Besides what did you find objectionably intolerant in my post- that I think homosexuality is a sin (on the same level with pre-marital and extra-marital sex whether hetero or homosexual)? Notice I didn’t say homosexuals have no place in church. I only stated that they shouldn’t deceive themselves into believing that their actions aren’t sinful.

I wouldn’t expect the church to tell the adulterer that his actions are moral and acceptable. Instead the church should convict him of his sins and implore him to seek God’s mercy. Why should homosexuality be any different (aside from it’s current position as the PC issue of the day).

  9. Great post! I like the clean-burning car. Very interesting.

The comment about the Left wanting to remove all natural consequences of bad behaviour could not be more true. Their ideal world would involve illegal drugs and illicit sex without the very logical consequences of bodily and spiritual harm.

What cracks me up is that these are the Darwinists – those who would otherwise tell us that our bodies have not evolved for certain things.

  10. damewigginsoflee says:

    tt —

You have hate in your heart, you may as well hold a fist full of stones. I’m sorry, but it’s just so obvious.
Being ‘civil’ isn’t what Jesus taught. Seems the politics are clouding your view of the message. Love thy sinner. Free your heart. Drop the stones.

  11. Once again Dame- don’t forget that Christ is the same God as that of the Old Testament. He is both loving and just.

I don’t hate any man, but much like Paul advises, “Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” I despise sin but love the sinner- it can be a difficult path to walk, but it is one we are called to endure.

After all, it was Jesus who affirmed traditional marriage when he quoted Genesis, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” Sounds like one of those intolerant non-PC exclusionary teachings of the far right wing, doesn’t it?

Jesus isn’t a God of the right or left. He is the God of the Old Testament and New. A savior willing to die for us while we were still lost in sin, yet one “[the world] hates me because I [He] testify that what it does is evil.”

I have no stones in my hands. I simply contend for the faith and plead with everyone to recognize that we all are sinners fallen far short of the glory of God. We don’t advance our cause when we rationalize our sins or compromise with the world. For when we rationalize our sins we remove our incentive to seek mercy from God.

I would implore you to study Christ’s teachings without the biases of the current politically correct culture. For after all, the world would tell you that many paths lead to God, but Christ has made clear, “But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

You are conflating the proper disgust of sin with hatred toward a man (or woman). I don’t hate my friends who engage in premarital sex, but I also don’t (out of my worldly love for them) accept their actions as moral and acceptable to God.

  12. BTW dame I still do enjoy your comments ;-).

  13. faithwalk says:

Whoa Dame WW of Lee, JK isn’t showing hate at all.
If you remember when Jesus intervened on behalf of the adulteress what did He tell her?
GO AND SIN NO MORE LEST A WORSE THING COME UPON YOU! What do you think that worse thing was? She was already about to die!
    That would be hell.
If you think it is wrong to warn people of the consequences of their sin which is eternal separation from God and torment, how can you say you love them?

    Just something to think about.

Blessings JK, I thought it was great post!

  14. I agree with faithwalk – I see no hate at all! I think maybe you touched a nerve totaltransformation! I think you are exactly right in all that you said about the situation. Great post!

  15. satisfiedhousewife says:

“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood [shall be] upon them.”

tt is standing for the word of TRUTH. If he is “intolerant” as you say, God is much more intolerant – he required homosexuals be put to death!! That is how much He hates it! Of course, we live by the new covenant now, however He still hates the sin.

I will never be “tolerant” of sin, because if I was, I would be guilty of being a partaker with them!

It isn’t “hate” in our hearts towards homosexuals – we love all these folks as much as the other sinners in the world, and wish they would repent and be saved. In fact, it is actually LOVE that motivates us to speak the truth, because we love their immortal souls, that are on their way to a devil’s hell! If we didn’t love the sinner, we wouldn’t warn him of hell. But that would be selfish of us, how could we do that? If your house was on fire, while you were asleep, would you want me to ignore it and pass you by? No! I would not care at all if you perished, if I did that! Well, eternity in hell is worse than dying in a burning house, because there is no hope of ever escaping those flames for all eternity!

No, not hate, but love, my friend.

  16. damewigginsoflee says:

Sinners! Every last one of ya!

    Sorry, I couldn’t resist.
