Ever had one of these days (I think the picture says it all)?  Well, okay, my day wasn’t that bad.  However it could have been much better.  I had planned more interval training and grip strength training for today.  Yet, a combination of powerful winds, rain, and my aching shins kept me inside. Just Another [...]

Well since today is day seven, I figured it was time for a look back over the last seven days.  What have I learned?  How have things changed?  Heck, maybe you’re even asking, what is the Velocity Diet? First, you might want to take  a look back at where I was when I started (first [...]

I have a feeling that my run yesterday left my shins and ankles weak, and it has impacted my whole day.   I’ve been pretty unmotivated to exercise, and when I did my ankles kept throwing off my balance- but you’ll hear more about that later. One of Those Days… When I woke up at 5 [...]

The day started off well enough.  A little black tea in the morning (7:45 a.m.) and I was up and running.  My energy levels were quite high at the start of the day.  I got down my breakfast protein shake and milled flax seed combo no problem (8:15 a.m.). I chased that down with about [...]

Quick update on day one. I only cheated a bit today, as I supplemented my lunch with a 4 oz. chicken breast and indulged in 4 slices of reduced fat bacon with dinner. Otherwise it was all shakes, milled flax seed, fiber, water, and supplements for me today. As far as activity goes, I went [...]

Well since today is the first day of the Velocity Diet challenge I took my measurements first thing this morning- with the exception of the blood pressure and pulse measurement which I took last night.  The numbers are:
