Good entry, thanks for the read!

Infants learn from their mistakes and blame no one. Somehow, as we "mature", mistakes often take on a life of their own and they become the fault of someone else. The "blame game" is not a fair game, is not moral, and is not productive. If only we could remember our own infant stage and learn the most important lesson: to get up after a fall and to walk correctly....

I agree with this as well. Although, I often find that most people who make mistakes often make excuses for them instead of learning from them. It is the wise person who takes these mistakes and uses them to build up their character. Thanks for your thoughts.

Good stuff. Esp. on a monday :)
2 Cor. 7:10
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Shame is often worldly sorrow,
where as true guilt given over to God brings salvation and thus freedom. Repentance is turning away from the action and toward God.
Shame often causes us to make the same mistakes again.

Great post, John.

One of the great things about life is that we do have the opportunity to start fresh.
